Position Overview
Thermore is seeking a passionate and experienced Sales Representative to manage and grow our business in North America, with a strong focus on the sportswear and outdoor performance sectors, with opportunities to expand into fashion and non-apparel applications.
This is a strategic, long-term role with a unique opportunity: you will train under a well respected industry expert and long-standing Thermore team member with 25+ years of service. Over the course of 2 years, you will absorb their knowledge, build strong customer relationships, and eventually step into a leadership role for the region.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Manage and expand Thermore’s client base across North America, with a primary focus on the outdoor and sportswear markets.
- Identify new business opportunities in the fashion and lifestyle sectors.
- Deliver against sales targets and market share goals.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain strong, consultative relationships with existing customers and cultivate long-term partnerships.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on thermal insulation technologies, sustainability benefits, and product applications.
Strategic Account Transition
- Train under the current North American Sales Director for two years, gradually taking over key accounts and responsibilities.
- Ensure a seamless handover of knowledge, contacts, and market insights.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with Thermore’s Italian headquarters and global marketing, product development, and customer service teams.
- Provide market feedback to support new product development and strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in B2B sales within the textile, performance apparel, outdoor, or fashion industries.
- Demonstrated success in territory management, key account development, and sales growth.
- Strong understanding of technical textiles, sustainable materials, or insulation products is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable working remotely with international teams.
- Willingness to travel frequently across North America and occasionally to Europe and/or The Far East.
