Charity runners at the 53rd annual event generated over $8.9 million, plus 2025 award winners honored at annual ceremony
FALMOUTH, Mass. (November 7, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – After wrapping up the 53rd running of the ASICS Falmouth Road Race this past August, Falmouth Road Race Inc. has announced their final fundraising numbers. This year, the race’s Numbers for Nonprofits Program generated nearly $8.9 million, the highest total for a single year to date, greatly surpassing last year’s record of $7.8 million. More than 4,200 runners participated in the program and raised money for over 220 official charity teams. Through the Numbers for Nonprofits Program, the race has helped raise over $80.4 million for charities and organizations based in Massachusetts since the program’s inception in 2000.

This year’s top fundraising teams included the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute with over $1.1 million, ALS ONE with over $486K and Ronald McDonald House Charities of New England bringing in over $243K. The top individual fundraiser was Sal Napoli, who raised over $203K for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of New England.
For over 50 years, Falmouth Road Race, Inc. has prioritized giving back to the community through its signature event. Even at the inaugural Falmouth Road Race in 1973, funds were raised for the Falmouth High School girls’ track team. Since then, the race has expanded its charitable impact, partnering with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund to launch the Numbers for Nonprofits Program. This initiative has elevated the race’s fundraising efforts to new heights and continues to break records year after year.
Since 2011, Falmouth Road Race, Inc., a 501(c)3 charitable organization, has given back over $6.1 million to the community in the form of scholarships to graduating high school seniors, grant awards, donations to volunteer groups that support the race, sponsorships of local events, and the completion of various large projects to benefit the town. Some of these projects have included a new track at Falmouth High School and a new floor in its Field House, where the Falmouth Road Race Health & Fitness Expo is held each year, equipment for the fitness room at the Falmouth Senior Center, and more.
The Falmouth Road Race also celebrated top finishers in their divisions at an awards ceremony held at the Flying Bridge on Oct. 9. The award ceremony included the recognition of the Margaret Bradley Award winners, which honors the fastest male and female finishers who live in Falmouth year-round. This year’s winners were Nathan Gartner with a time of 38:06 and Elise Casso, with a time of 44:26. The award was created over 20 years ago when Bradley, a local runner and Falmouth Road Race participant, died while running in the Grand Canyon on July 10, 2004, at the age of 24. This award continues to honor her and her impact on the community over two decades later.
