New York, Oct. 22, 2025 — New York Road Runners (NYRR), the nonprofit that “runs” New York City producing 60 annual adult and youth races, today announced that the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon—the best day of the year, in the best city in the world—will be broadcast live to nearly 550 million homes in 160+ countries, including on ESPN2 in the U.S. and ABC7/WABC-TV in the New York City area, Sunday, Nov. 2.
A live radio broadcast of the race will air on iHeartRadio New York’s 710 WOR, The Voice of New York, and iHeartMedia’s streaming and digital platforms. Fans can also download the NYRR App to watch uninterrupted feeds of all four professional divisions.
To get audiences inspired by the transformative power of running ahead of race day, New York Road Runners’ first-ever documentary short film, “Final Finishers,” will be released on ESPN+ and ABC7NY.com beginning Saturday, Nov. 1. Co-produced by East 89th St Productions—New York Road Runners’ new content studio dedicated to creating original content that aligns with the nonprofit’s vision of building healthier lives and stronger communities through the transformative power of running—and Tribeca Studios—the original content division of Tribeca Enterprises—the 30-minute “Final Finishers” documentary was first screened during the 2025 Tribeca Festival in June. A sneak peek of the film—which celebrates the unsung heroes at the back of the pack—will air during the 3–5 p.m. ET national race-day coverage from the finish line on the ABC Network.

Here are the many ways that fans can tune in and be a part of the action:
TCS New York City Marathon TV Broadcast
For U.S. viewers, the award-winning broadcast of the TCS New York City Marathon will air on ESPN2 and on the ESPN App from 8–11:30 a.m. ET. Pre-race and continuing coverage will be streamed live on ESPN+ and the ESPN App from 7–8 a.m. ET, and from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. ET. Additionally, a domestic, Spanish-language broadcast will air live on ESPN3 (accessible on the ESPN App and ESPN.com) from 8–11:30 a.m. ET. The Spanish-language broadcast will also re-air on ESPN Deportes at 8 a.m. ET, Monday, Nov. 3.
Locally, the race will air on ABC7/WABC-TV from 8 a.m.–1 p.m., with pre-coverage airing 7–8 a.m. ABC7NY.com will present a view from the finish line from 8 p.m. ET until the last participant finishes.
Joining the broadcast team for the first time is Olympian Clayton Young, who finished the 2025 World Championships marathon as the top American and will be covering the race leaders along the course. Additionally, “Good Morning America” correspondent Will Reeve will join as co-host of the “Live from the TCS New York City Marathon” national Finish Line Show, airing 3–5 p.m. ET on ABC Network.
Returning to the broadcast are SportsCenter anchor Hannah Storm, ESPN Running Events Commentator John Anderson, Olympian Carrie Tollefson, and Paralympians Kurt Fearnley and Amanda McGrory. Storm will return to host the program with Anderson, Tollefson, and Fearnley in the broadcast booth as analysts for all four professional races. A talented array of reporters including veteran track and field commentator Lewis Johnson, Peloton instructor and marathoner Becs Gentry, Ali on the Run Show host Ali Feller, and ABC7’s Eyewitness News reporters Ryan Field, Sam Ryan, Kemberly Richardson, Michelle Charlesworth, Pedro Rivera, Dani Beckstrom, and Brittany Bell will be present at the start, finish, along the course, and in the sky. In the world feed booth will be Olympian Kara Goucher and veteran track and field commentator Paul Swangard.
ESPN2 and WABC-TV have been the home of the TCS New York City Marathon broadcast since 2013. For the second consecutive year, the TCS New York City Marathon television broadcast, produced in coordination with 45 Live and distributed by IGM, was awarded a New York Emmy award for Sports Program – Live (Single Program) in September.
International broadcast partners secured by IMG for the race include: ESPN International (South America, Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean), Eurosport (Europe, Southeast Asia, India), Fox Sports/Kayo (Australia), L’Equipe (France), RAI (Italy), SMG Sports (China), SuperSport (Sub-Saharan Africa), TSN (Canada), and TVE/Tv3 (Spain).
TCS New York City Marathon Radio Broadcast
Building on a successful radio debut last year, the TCS New York City Marathon will be broadcast live locally on iHeartMedia New York’s 710 WOR, The Voice of New York, and globally on iHeartMedia’s streaming and digital platforms from 7:30 a.m.–noon ET. As the exclusive radio home of the TCS New York City Marathon through 2027, the iHeartMedia coverage will feature expert analysis from Olympic medalist Galen Rupp, alongside analyst Tim McLoone, radio host Larry Mendte, Garret Vogel reporting from the start, Natalie Migliore reporting from the course in Brooklyn, and Ken Rosato reporting from the Bronx.
NYRR App TCS New York City Marathon Debut
Participants, spectators, and supporters can now access runner tracking, leaderboards, race-day information, and course maps through the New York Road Runners App Developed by Tata Consultancy Services. Within the new year-round app, which made its debut during the 2025 United Airlines NYC Half, fans can watch live feeds of all four professional divisions without interruption. The app will also offer feeds from course cameras at the start, miles eight, 16, and 20, and the finish line, so spectators can catch their runners in action. In addition, the app’s interactive Spectator Guide offers recommendations for the best locations to cheer on runners on race day. The NYRR App is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
