The Road Runners Club: New York Association Four Part Oral History Project is currently in progress documenting the foundational years of New York Road Runners (NYRR) and Road Runners Club of American (RRCA).  Much of this history has been overlooked.  Bill Roe (1950-2020) said the following in 2011 about the State of Track & Field and Long Distance Running History.

“Many opportunities have been lost over the years as famous athletes in and contributors to the sport have died.  In most cases, no oral record of their involvement was gathered before their passing.”

TCI is dedicated to changing this paradigm by documenting the people across the country who helped invent the sport of long-distance road running.
