Professional athlete field to lead more than 10,000 racing from the United Nations to the iconic TCS New York City Marathon finish line

  • 8:45 a.m. – Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K General Runners Start  

Finish: TCS New York City Marathon Finish Line, Central Park, West Drive at W. 67th St.

WHAT: 

The day beforemore than 55,000 runners from nearly 150 countries finish the TCS New York City Marathon, New York Road Runners (NYRR)— the nonprofit that “runs” New York City producing 60 annual adult and youth races—will welcome more than 10,000 participants, including six Olympians and six U.S. national champions, for the Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K, Saturday, Nov. 1. 

An annual tradition, the Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K gives TCS New York City Marathon supporters, friends, and families the opportunity to join in on the thrill of marathon race weekend, with a course that starts at the United Nations and ends at the iconic TCS New York City Marathon finish line.  

  

In addition to the professional and adult athletes, the Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K will host the 2025 USA Track & Field (USATF) National Youth 5K Championships, with kids between the ages of 13 to 18 from across the country participating.   

Among the participants will be race directors and CEOs from all seven Abbott World Marathon Majors—New York, Boston, Chicago, London, Berlin, Tokyo, and Sydney—as well as notable runners including Oliver and James Phelps, known for playing George and Fred Weasley in the Harry Potter film adaptations.
