Longtime sponsor helped shape the race’s growth as the Whitefish Marathon celebrates its largest field ever in 2026.
WHITEFISH, Mont. (May 16, 2026) – The Whitefish Marathon announces it has renewed a multiyear partnership with Hammer Nutrition following nearly two decades of impactful partnership and support of the event. Since the inaugural race in 2008, Hammer Nutrition has played a significant role in helping grow the Whitefish Marathon into one of Montana’s premier running events. In addition, Hammer Nutrition’s products will be featured throughout the event, including on-course nutrition and hydration. Fueling clinics leading up to the event will help participants prepare for race day.
The 2026 event, offering marathon, half marathon and 5K distances, posted a 43% increase over last year hitting the newly implemented 2,000-person cap three weeks prior to the event. The event, owned by The Wave Aquatic and Fitness Center, supports the Wave’s scholarship fund, providing financial assistance to access to aquatic and fitness activities for those in need. The continued growth reflects the event’s reputation as a premier destination race in Western Montana, just 30 minutes from Glacier National Park.
