Leading endurance event PR agency recaps results of last year’s client campaigns

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. – Treat Public Relations, the endurance sports event industry’s leading PR partner, has revealed that the agency generated over 2,750 media hits for clients in 2025, averaging 230 media hits per month. The number marks the highest amount of annual coverage earned by Treat PR in its 10-year history, increasing from its previous record set in 2024 by close to 40%.

The most-covered event was the Portland Marathon, produced by Brooksee, with 580 pieces of coverage in all, which reached regional and national audiences. Treat PR represents nearly 20 running and endurance events across the nation in 14 cities and 10 states. In total, the events they served welcomed more than 100,000 finishers. 2025 also brought notable new partnerships to the agency, including The McCourt Foundation, producers of the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon and the Rose Bowl Half Marathon and 5K.

“Between our new partnerships and our record-setting results, 2025 revealed not only the growth of our agency but also our readiness to support events of increasing scale, complexity and global visibility,” said Meg Treat, APR, owner and CEO of Treat Public Relations. “Endurance events no longer have to choose between PR expertise and deep industry knowledge, and we’re proud to see our unique skill set lead to fuller start lines, stronger sponsor relationships and greater impact for causes that our clients support.”

Last year, Treat PR continued to gain distinction in the local public relations community. The Orange County chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (OCPRSA) awarded the firm six trophies, which included four PROTOS Awards and two Awards of Excellence. Owner Meg Treat, APR completed five years of service on the board of directors for the organization, where she held the roles of Membership Chair, PRSSA Liaison, APR and Ethics Chair, National Assembly Delegate, President-Elect, President and Past President. The entire Treat PR team remains active and engaged members of OCPRSA.

This January, Treat PR celebrated the 10th anniversary of its launch in 2016. After serving just three races in its first year in business, the firm is on track to support nearly 30 events in 2026 and to continue distinguishing itself as the industry leader in supporting endurance events of all sizes, all across the United States.
