Dear Valued Running USA Members, We are looking for passionate members of the running community to help guide the direction of Running USA, the leading trade organization for the running industry. Nominations are now open for the Running USA Board of Directors, and we encourage you to consider nominating yourself or someone you know. With the full support of the current Board of Directors, this year’s election will again feature a recommended slate of candidates that will be shared with the membership. This streamlined election process allows the board to identify and fill open positions with individuals who can help diversify Running USA and strengthen its strategic growth. Adding individuals with specific skill sets and representation across a wide range of communities enables us to better serve our entire membership. In an effort to be transparent and ensure the right fit for current board needs, we want to share that only candidates within the “event category” are eligible for this year’s open positions. There are currently four open seats this year. We are specifically seeking candidates with strong financial, legal, and governance experience, as these areas are vital to the continued health and direction of the organization. We believe this clarity will help attract the most qualified and passionate individuals to serve on the board. As the Governance and Elections Committee reviews potential candidates, we invite all members who meet the criteria, or who know someone who does, to submit an application using the link below.
