World-famous running event reached maximum entries with two months remaining until the event

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The 2026 ASICS Los Angeles Marathon, produced by The McCourt Foundation, announced that it has sold out of entries for its 41st anniversary event on March 8. The City of Los Angeles’ largest and longest-running community sporting event reached sell-out status with more than two months until race day, the fastest pace for registrations that the event has ever recorded. Over 26,000 registrations were received for the event that finishes near Avenue of the Stars in Century City. Those interested in participating still have two distinct ways to take part in the annual event.

The exclusive Charity Half Marathon within the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon is available only to those who fundraise for Team TMF or one of over 100 charity organizations partnered with the race.  Select official charity partners still have full marathon entries available to fundraisers. Entries for the LA 5K remain open. The LA 5K, part of the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon weekend, takes place at Dodger Stadium on March 7 and offers a family-friendly and approachable distance for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to complete.

“The sport of running and the 26.2-mile distance is more popular than ever. World-class running events like the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon bring worldwide attention and thousands of participants and spectators into the city,” said Stacy Embretson, the marathon’s vice president and race director. “Running is becoming an ‘it’ sport, which is reflected in all things connected to the marathon, including participation and support for our associated programs. For those who didn’t act quickly enough to gain an entry, there are still limited opportunities to run while also supporting important causes through Team TMF.”

The ASICS Los Angeles Marathon race weekend also features the LA Kids Run. The LA Kids Run is a part of the Kids Run LA Challenge. The marathon’s two-day Lifestyle Expo March 6 and 7 with both events held at Dodger Stadium. Free to enter and free to park, the expo is open to the public and features the official race merchandise store, and up to 100 exhibitors with more than 70,000 attendees expected.
