The program fundraised $9.98 million at its 54th annual event, continuing a six-year streak of growth year-over-year
FALMOUTH, Mass. – Falmouth Road Race Inc. has announced that it once again bested its previous year’s fundraising totals. For the sixth year in a row, the ASICS Falmouth Road Race’s Numbers for Nonprofits Program generated its highest total for a single year to date: $9.98 million. More than 4,300 runners participated in the program and raised money for over 210 official charity teams. Through the Numbers for Nonprofits Program, the race has helped raise over $90.38 million for charities and organizations based in Massachusetts since the program’s inception in 2000.
“Charity runner programs drive such significant fundraising across the country, and the Numbers for Nonprofits Program stands out as one of the most successful,” said Program Manager Andrea Norris. “Besting our total dollars raised each year leads to major impacts for the charities in our state who utilize the ASICS Falmouth Road Race as a platform for their important work!”
The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund are the official Legacy Partner of the Numbers for Nonprofits Program, and they boasted their highest fundraising year ever. They also generated the highest total fundraising of all the organizations in the program. With over $1.2 million raised through the 2026 event, they have generated $13.9 million through the program since 2003. Mike and Melanie Carroll were the most successful fundraisers in the overall program, raising a combined total of over $114,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association.
For nearly 55 years, Falmouth Road Race, Inc. has prioritized giving back to the community through its signature event. Even at the inaugural Falmouth Road Race in 1973, funds were raised for the Falmouth High School girls’ track team.
Since 2011, Falmouth Road Race, Inc., a 501(c)3 charitable organization, has given back over $6.1 million to the community. Some of the most visible impacts of that giving come in the form of large projects, including equipment for the fitness room at the Falmouth Senior Center, a new track at Falmouth High School and a new floor in its Field House, where the Falmouth Road Race Health & Fitness Expo is held each year. In addition, the organization provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors, grant awards, donations to volunteer groups that support the race, sponsorships of local events and more.
