Boulder Country Day School Renews Title Sponsorship of Boulderthon Kids Fun Run
Local school returns as partner with premier community event, continuing investment in youth fitness and wellness
BOULDER, Colo. – Boulderthon, powered by lululemon, has renewed its partnership with Boulder Country Day School for a second year. The leading private school in the local Boulder area will return as the title sponsor of the fifth annual Kids Fun Run, a key part of the annual Boulderthon marathon race weekend. The two local organizations’ collaboration continues their shared commitment to local youth and fostering community involvement through fitness runs. Registration for the Boulder Country Day School Kids Fun Run is open.
The Boulder Country Day School Kids Fun Run race will take place on Sept. 27, and begin at 8:25 a.m. at 19th Street and Pearl Street, and finish on the historic Pearl Street Mall. All parents have the opportunity to run for free alongside their child. This year, the race will debut a newly designed finish arch that showcases Boulder Country Day’s partnership.
“Boulderthon brings together so many of the values we hold at Boulder Country Day School: joyful movement, appropriate challenge, perseverance, and community. When children engage actively and push through challenges, they build more than physical strength—they develop focus, confidence, resilience, and a sense of what they are capable of achieving,” said Robin Lamberta Frank, head of school at Boulder Country Day School. “We are proud to sponsor the BCD Boulderthon Kids Run and give children the opportunity to challenge themselves and cross the finish line feeling proud, capable, and cheered on by their community.”
Boulder Country Day School is a leading private school serving students two and a half years old through eighth grade in the local Boulder area. Founded in 1988, they are committed to upholding the highest standard for a balanced educational experience through emphasized values in inclusivity, safety, discovery, resilience and positive contribution.
“Including youth and encouraging them to enjoy healthy movement has been part of Boulderthon’s values from the very beginnings of our event,” said Alexa Squillaro, event director of Boulderthon, powered by lululemon. “Boulder Country Day is the natural partner to bring our children’s event to life. No doubt, there will be kiddos running with us on race weekend who will one day make running part of their everyday life, through competition or recreation. That’s what it’s all about: inspiring the next generation of runners!”
