This activity will introduce new movements into running routines while helping clean up our planet. Runners and walkers of all paces and abilities are invited to join NYRR staff, coaches, and NYRR Team for Climate members to clean up the streets of New York City ahead of Marathon Sunday.
Ploggers will start at the newly renovated NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the New Balance Run Hub and will finish at the iconic TCS New York City Marathon Finish Line in Central Park.
NYRR will provide compostable bags and gloves to all registered ploggers. Restrooms and lockers (available on a first-come, first-served basis) will be available. Attendees will receive a reusable sport water bottle courtesy of Culligan and will be able to refill it with Culligan-filtered water. The shakeout will occur rain or shine, and NYRR encourages everyone to please dress accordingly.
