DMSE conducted a successful final race of the year on New Year’s Eve at midnight in Pasadena, CA on the Rose Bowl Parade route. Despite typical DMSE Sports weather of rain, rain and more rain throughout the entire day and evening, over 4,000 of the 5,000 who registered “weathered the weather” and still participated in the 5K race to bring in the New Year with a “splash”. Once again, great work by the DMSE team working with the Lululemon team. The event actually started at 11:40pm on Wednesday night December 31, 2025 with 50 selected runners starting off with the intent of finishing before midnight, calling it the Run the Countdown. Almost 30 of them did exactly that. Then right at 12:00am midnight all the other runners answered the sound of the horn bringing in the New Year and kicking off our first race of 2026. So, I guess you could say we had a final race of 2025 and a first race of 2026 happening back-to-back and only minutes apart. Wonder if that is any sort of a record? Now we have a little time to plan our entire 2026 schedule of events as our next event isn’t until Boston in April.
Happy New Year to all!!
