Paid Contractor: $20/HR
Estimated Hours: 6-12 hours onsite race days; Must be able to work at approximately 2AM to 1PM.
Brief
We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable Groundsman with a teamwork mindset and strong work ethic to support the smooth operation of our road running race events. You’ll play a key role in setting up, maintaining, and breaking down the event site. Experience with heavy lifting and/or event setup/teardown is a plus. This is an as-needed position requiring candidates to be flexible and available for early-morning shifts on event dates.
Venue Tasks:
● Load and unload equipment/supply efficiently and carefully from company trucks
● Help set up venue infrastructure like barriers, signage, tents, and flags.
● Keep the venue clean, tidy, and safe for participants and spectators
● Provide general support to the race operations team
Course Tasks:
● Support placement of water stations and course signage
● Respond quickly to any on-course needs or cleanups
● Assist with the removal of all course markings, signage, and equipment
● Ensure the course is left clean and free of litter
Qualifications:
● Ability to safely lift up to 65 lbs
● Demonstrates reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
● Must be available to work scheduled hours on race dates
● Must have dependable transportation to and from scheduled arrival locations
Assignment
Final task assignments are based upon review of applicants, organizational need, and fit determination upon interviewing.

This position is for an independent contractor and not as an employee of the Racing Systems, Inc. (the “Company”). Nothing in this role shall be construed to create an employment relationship, partnership, or joint venture between the contractor and the Company.
