The industry’s fastest internet provider joins forces with one of the fastest Boston-qualifying events and industry-leading technology company

MESA, Ariz. – The Mesa Marathon has announced its new collaboration with Google Fiber ahead of its 2025 event taking place on Feb. 8. GFiber will be serving as the Presenting Sponsor of the Mesa Marathon App*, Live Tracking and Lightning-Fast Finisher Pics. Participants and spectators can download the Mesa Marathon App*, presented by GFiber, in preparation for race day on Google Play and the App Store to fully experience one of the fastest Boston-qualifying events.

Brooksee’s Laurel timing technology will power the Mesa Marathon App*, presented by GFiber, providing users with a seamless and data-driven experience. Runners and those interested in tracking their journey along the course will have access to accurate and detailed timing and location information with 169 checkpoints along the course, averaging every .155 miles per checkpoint. Lightning-Fast Finisher Pics Presented by Google Fiber will provide runners with high-quality race photos ready to view, share and celebrate within an industry-leading 2 hours of crossing the finish line.

“From the moment we envisioned Lightning Fast Finisher Pics, we knew Google was a perfectly aligned partner. When we reached out, there was immediate synergy and support for the game-changing potential of this innovation. We’re thrilled to have their support in bringing this Laurel Timing breakthrough to participants and spectators everywhere,” said Phil Dumontet, CEO of Brooksee.

“Speed and connection are central to what GFiber does every day,” said Will Novak, government & community affairs manager for Google Fiber. “We’re so excited to be a part of this iconic event that connects so much of the Mesa community.”

The Mesa Marathon offers four distances, the marathon, half marathon, 10K and Amazon Kids 1K run. The marathon course begins below the large white Phoenix sign painted on Usery Mountain. Marathon runners will experience nearly 1,000 feet of net elevation loss while enjoying the diverse scenery from cactus desert to spectacular views of the Phoenix Valley from N. Usery Pass Rd. Half marathoners will experience nearly 200 feet of net elevation loss along the gentle downhill route towards Riverview Park, while 10K participants experience a scenic course that begins at Fitch Park and winds through historic downtown Mesa. The Amazon Kids 1K run is a free non-timed race for children 12 and under. Participation is limited to the first 500 registrants on a first-come, first-served basis.
