I. POSITION SUMMARY
Blistering Pace Race Management is a full-service race management company based in Northern California.  Established in 2016 and rapidly expanding, we work with clients which include the Pamakid Runners (San Francisco Half Marathon), Napa Valley Marathon, Inc. (Kaiser Permanente Napa Valley Marathon and Half Marathon), and the Big Sur Marathon Foundation (Big Sur International Marathon and Monterey Bay Half Marathon).  Our scope of work varies by event, but for most clients our scope entails full management.

Under the general supervision of the BPRM Director of Marketing, the Content Marketing Coordinator provides key e-communications and social media content including oversight of partnership deliverables for Blistering Pace Race Management’s clients.  This role will be approximately 20 hours per week.

Email Marketing

Creates and develops annual communications and marketing campaigns to reach target audiences to drive event entries, program engagement, merchandise sales, donations and partnerships. 30%

Assists with development and execution of all external race communications

  • Execute informational communications to participants as well as marketing campaigns to increase national, regional, and local awareness and participation
  • Keep communications within brand guidelines, develop look, feel, and content based on each client, visual aesthetics, grammar, and correct information being of utmost importance
  • Fulfills all partner deliverables related to email inclusions
  • Manages audience segmentation and email scheduling

Social Media

Creates and develops a cohesive social media calendar with content that supports the email marketing calendar, showcases event assets, and promotes engagement. 30%

  • Social Media Oversight
  • Develops and oversees social content calendar for each client
  • Develops content, drafting, and scheduling for each post, reel, story, etc.
  • Procures photos, videos, etc. for social content from photo library with appropriate tagging where applicable
  • Fulfills all partner deliverables related to social media inclusions
  • Oversees community management on the social channels with engagement by commenting, answering questions, direct messages, sharing, etc.
  • Develop event shot lists
  • Manage Digital Asset Library

Partnership Deliverables
Supports the Sponsorship Manager through tracking and fulfillment of sponsor contractual needs related to email marketing and social media. 20%

  • Works with the Sponsorship Manager to track all email marketing and social media sponsorship deliverables
  • Works with the Director of Marketing to fulfill all email marketing and social media sponsorship deliverables
  • Liaison with Sponsor to acquire logos, copy, images, general assets for content creation
  • Collaborate on post-event sponsorship reports to include any relevant marketing information/stats/spends

Photography and Digital Asset Management – 10%

  • Coordinate with contracted photographers and videographers
  • Develop event shot lists and instructions for event weekend
  • Manage Digital Asset Library
  • Keep photography and videography assets organized by event
  • Lead key word photo tagging project

Events & Projects Management – 10%

  • Supports various BPRM client programs, serving as primary resource and subject matter expert for communications, graphics, and event-specific marketing objectives.
  • Provides event-related operational support to all BPRM client events; maintaining a full on-site presence, focusing on marketing, social media, photography, videography, and other duties
  • Attends/participates in BPRM staff meetings, marketing-related meetings, and any special client meetings, as necessary

III. POSITION ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar or related position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability or familiarity working in meta and email marketing platforms
  • Previous experience with social media
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds
  • Attention to detail and a strong ability to follow through on projects
  • Graphic design skills a major bonus

  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree (Management, Marketing and/or Communications) preferred
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Ability to spend long periods of time at a computer/laptop terminal with heavy keyboarding
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • This position will primarily work in an office setting; Must be able to work outside on occasion, with varied environmental exposure
