ROCK ‘N’ ROLL RUNNING SERIES HITS THE STREETS OF SAN JOSE ON SEPT. 30 AND OCT. 1

 

- United Airlines Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series San Jose will include half marathon, 10K, 5K distances plus a KiDS ROCK event, registration still open by visiting the Health and Fitness Expo

SAN JOSE, Calif. (Sept. 27, 2023) – Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series, is a best-in-class running series Bringing Fun to the Run® through music, entertainment, city landmarks, and community immersion. United Airlines Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series San Jose offers a distance for everyone, including a 5K, 10K, half marathon, and a KiDS ROCK event taking place on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. Participants that want to register for United Airlines Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series San Jose can do so onsite by visiting the Health & Fitness Expo located at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center.

Schedule 
Race week will kick-off on Friday, Sept. 29 with the Health & Fitness Expo at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, which is free and open to the public, featuring the latest products and trends in the running industry. United Airlines Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series San Jose event is open to runners and walkers alike and will include half marathon, 10K, 5K distances and a KiDS ROCK event.

Friday, Sept. 29
  • 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Health & Fitness Expo, San Jose McEnery Convention Center
Saturday, Sept. 30 – Race Day
  • 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Health & Fitness Expo, San Jose McEnery Convention Center
  • 7:30 a.m. – 5K – S. Market St. at Viola Ave.
  • 9:00 a.m. – KiDS ROCK – S. Market at Balbach St.
Sunday, Oct. 1 – Race Day
  • 8:00 a.m. – 10K – S. Market at Viola Ave.
  • 8:00 a.m. – Half Marathon – S. Market at Viola Ave.
  • 10:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. – Encore Entertainment – Mustache Habor at Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park

Course:
The event weekend promises to be a breathtaking experience, combining live music and entertainment as participants journey through Speed City, USA. Starting at Viola Ave. and ending at Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park, participants will take on an exhilarating course with music at every turn as they explore everything that the heart of San Jose has to offer.

Elite Runners
A robust field of Elite runners are signed up to participate at United Airlines Rock ‘n’ Roll San Jose as they aim to hit the U.S. Olympic Team Trials qualification standard. Visit a full list of runners, HERE

Media Credentials: 
Registration for media credentials to the upcoming United Airlines Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series San Jose taking place Sept. 30 & Oct. 1 is now available. Media interested in covering the event must register at the link below by Friday, Sept. 29 12:00 p.m. PT to be considered for media credentials.

Media credentials will need to be picked up at the Health & Fitness Expo. Specifics of pick-up time and location will be coordinated upon approval of credentials. Please contact press@runrocknroll.com for additional information.

CREDENTIAL REQUESTS ON RACE DAY WILL NOT BE APPROVED. Media who arrive on the day of the race without proper registration will not be provided credentials or access to race venues.
