Highlights for August include:

Confirming it’s position as the sports capital of the world, the city radiates with full throttle energy in the Nautica New York City Triathlon.
A new runner friendly course puts Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens on display in the lastest stop in New York Road Runners Half-Marathon Series, presented by Continental Airlines.

Boom times for hundreds of companies in the upstate New York stops in the international Chase Corporate Challenge series.  Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse races draw executives on the go.

A quick test of multi-sport skills in New York Road Runners Sprint Triathlon.  Cruise through to water, guaranteed no jellyfish, fly on the bike, and sprint home.  All before 9am. Peter Ciaccia, VP of Event Development and Production: “We want to offer unique and exciting fitness opportunities for NYRR members and prospective members.”

Destination…the finish line. From Chicago to London to Prague, the marathon marches forward.  Now, a 26.2 miler is likely to be included in your vacation or business travel plans.

The finish line is always sweet, particularly if you can share it. An RCN High Speed Performance.  Savor those final yards.

November 7th, 2010, will be the 41st running of the ING New York City Marathon. At the front of the field of 45,000…a showdown of the world’s best. World record holder Haile Gebrselassie, defending champion American Meb Keflezighi and American Olympic marathon medalist Deena Kastor.

The heat of the summer sends many to the wet and wild world of aquatic sports.  We don’t do the lazy hazy days of summer, particularly if you like open water and the 31 mile Molokai to Oahu World Paddleboard Championship.
