Atlanta Track Club Announces Partnership with Polar Electro Inc.

Polar named Club’s Exclusive Technology Device Provider

ATLANTA – April 4, 2019 -- Atlanta Track Club is teaming up with Polar Electro Inc. to bring Polar’s innovative technology to the Club’s world-class training programs, events, along with the Club’s elite youth, Olympic Development and masters teams as well as to youth program partners like Atlanta Public Schools. Under a new partnership announced today, Polar becomes the exclusive technology device provider of Atlanta Track Club.

As tens of thousands of runners begin preparations for the Club’s flagship event, the AJC Peachtree Road Race, Polar will provide the technology and expertise Atlanta Track Club coaches and run leads need to incorporate heart rate data into the Club’s In-Training for Peachtree program. The program kicks off this weekend at seven metro-Atlanta locations marking twelve weeks until the world’s largest 10K. “We are excited to work with Polar to share the value of heart rate-based training with the In-Training for Peachtree participants,” said Atlanta Track Club Coach and Olympian Amy Begley. “Polar is the original heart rate monitor and its reputation as a leader in the industry is unmatched.”

Under the partnership, Polar will provide training, content and devices to Atlanta Track Club staff who will utilize the information to enhance the training experience for participants while measuring the efficacy of its programming. The products will also be worn by members of Atlanta Track Club Elite’s team. Athletes will appear in Polar’s marketing messages along with Polar’s other sponsored endurance athletes like Olympians Molly Huddle and Gwen Jorgenson. Polar products will be available for purchase at as well as at expos and number pickup events for the AJC Peachtree Road Race, Publix Atlanta Marathon, Invesco QQQ Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon and PNC Atlanta 10 Miler.
