Corps Marathon Military Discount Starts Tomorrow
Active Duty, Reservists Receive
Registration Savings and Early Entry
To 37th MCM from February 23 to March 6
QUANTICO, VA (Feb. 22, 2012) - Beginning Feb. 23 at noon
Eastern all military members serving on active duty or
in the Reserves can receive a 15 percent savings upon
registering for the 37th Marine Corps Marathon (MCM).
Service members can register online at www.marinemarathon.com
through close of business on March 6, before the MCM
opens to public registration on March 7.
Service members will pay just $78.20 to register. Any
service members registering after March 6 will pay the
full registration cost of $92.
The 15 percent discount is offered in partnership with
MCM sponsor GEICO and reflects the company's popular
slogan "15 minutes can save you 15 percent or more
on car insurance."
The 2012 MCM will be held on Sunday, Oct. 28 in Northern
Virginia and throughout the nation's capital in
Washington, D.C. More information about the 37th MCM is

About the MCM: Voted the "Best Marathon for
Families" and the "Best Marathon in the Mid
Atlantic," the Marine Corps Marathon honors the
dedication, sportsmanship and patriotism of its
participants. Runners from all walks of life participate
in the largest marathon not to offer prize money,
earning the name "The People's Marathon." The
37th MCM will be held on October 28, 2012 in Arlington,
VA. No federal or Marine Corps endorsement is
