Point 5-Miler Entry Forms Available
(Duluth, Minn.) Northern Minnesota’s oldest road race – the 37th annual Park Point 5-Miler & 2-Mile Walk – is Friday, July 18. The event begins with free youth races at 5:30 p.m., followed by the two-mile walk at 6:15 p.m. and the five-mile run at 6:30 p.m.
The pre-registration fee is $15 before July 18. Entry forms can be downloaded at

or picked up at Austin-Jarrow, Anytime Fitness or other area sporting goods stores and fitness centers. Race-day registration for both the run and walk is available for $18 near the pavilion at the end of Park Point between 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The free youth races are for children ages 14 and under.
All finishers in the run and walk receive a commemorative T-shirt and awards are presented to the top participants in 16 categories at an awards ceremony following the races. Ribbons are awarded to youth race runners upon completion of their event.
Net proceeds from the Park Point 5-Miler benefit the Young Athletes Foundation (YAF), a Grandma’s Marathon program focused on the promotion and development of youth athletics. For more information about the Park Point 5-Miler or the YAF, call (218) 727-0947 or visit
